narayana murthy – ‘A few bright IITians got some seed money from better halves…’: Harsh Goenka’s Bengaluru post sparks a debate

RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka has sparked a debate on Bengaluru’s altering id along with his newest submit on X. Sharing a photograph of Infosys co-founders Narayana Murthy and Nandan Nilekani, Goenka mirrored on how town has shifted from a peaceable retreat to a traffic-choked metropolis.

“As soon as upon a time, Bengaluru was a serene haven—morning walks in Cubbon Park, leisurely drives in Premier Padmini, and lazy afternoons spent in quaint bookstores,” he wrote.

“Then, a number of brilliant IITians bought some seed cash from their wives, and now… we spend extra time caught on Outer Ring Street than having fun with the ‘Backyard Metropolis’ breeze. Progress, they name it!” Goenka added.

Goenka’s submit rapidly set off a wave of reactions on X, with customers weighing in on town’s evolution and its rising pains. Some echoed his issues about Bengaluru’s crumbling infrastructure, whereas others defended town’s tech-driven rise.

One person wrote, “Bangalore is one metropolis that had potential… The final 2 many years litrally (sic) noticed town develop… Even right this moment the roads and infra of the previous metropolis ie the backyard metropolis are higher than the ‘developed’ metropolis… Can blame NRN Murthy for throttling innovation in tech… However cant blame him for pathetic infra of Bangalore… The politicians builder foyer are in charge… They encroached lakes didn’t construct roads… Didn’t construct infra… Exploited town.”

Others seen Bengaluru’s progress as a pure consequence of changing into a tech capital. “Bengaluru’s transformation is a case research in city evolution. Thanks, IITians and Infosys!” one person commented.

Some referred to as for a extra balanced take. “We will not have butter on either side of the bread & eat it conveniently too, Goenka Saheb. I’ve by no means seen Bengaluru, not even when it was referred to as Bengalore. The more than likely oversight by the city planners of the MCB might need been their choice to allow IT & many different firms to come back up both inside town limits or simply adjoining to it. That should be bitting town dwellers now,” one other submit learn.

Including to that, one person stated, “Growth comes at a sure price. Overcrowding is collateral harm. The very individuals you criticize have created job alternatives for a lot of, together with myself.”
