The Donald Trump administration’s ‘Gold Card’ initiative—providing everlasting US residency for $5 million per card—has already seen a significant milestone, with 1,000 playing cards bought in a single day, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick claimed. This $5 billion surge marks the primary success of the programme, which goals to boost $5 trillion by promoting a million playing cards to rich traders.

The Gold Card, designed to exchange the present EB-5 investor visa, eliminates the job creation requirement and affords a fast-track residency course of. President Donald Trump believes the programme will appeal to prosperous people who will enhance the financial system by way of spending, funding, and taxation.

“There are 37 million folks on this planet who’re able to shopping for the cardboard… The president thinks we will promote one million,” Lutnick advised the All-In podcast, expressing confidence within the programme’s long-term success. The initiative has already generated international curiosity, with Lutnick revealing, “Yesterday I bought a thousand.” The programme’s funds are meant to cut back the US nationwide debt, which presently stands at $36.2 trillion.

To streamline functions, Elon Musk is reportedly growing a devoted software program platform, anticipated to launch inside two weeks. In the meantime, Trump is contemplating rebranding the initiative because the ‘Trump Card’ to reinforce its enchantment. “My folks need to name it the Trump Card as a result of the Trump Card sells a lot better than the Gold Card,” he remarked.
